Currently Deaf Athletes are missing out on government funding for development, training, medical support and international competitions as deaf athletes are excluded from the governments' DCMS World Class Performance Funding Plan. The plan supports Olympic and Paralympic Athletics (but not Deaflympics) with funding for development, medical, training and competitions.
